“I wish breast protection existed when I was playing sport.”

In 2018, Suzie Betts discovered painful lumps in her breasts, requiring biopsies and surgery. Doctors later confirmed they were non-cancerous — most likely caused by repeated impact during sport in her youth.

To date, she has undergone multiple surgeries and continues with ongoing six-monthly monitoring and testing.

This was preventable.

With two daughters playing contact sport, Suzie knew something had to change

Working with medical experts and female athletes, she developed a solution — now known as Boob Protect.

Designed to fit inside any sports bra, the inserts absorb impact, reduce pain and help prevent long-term injury.

Breast protection finally exists.

Normalise the Conversation.

What started as protection for Suzie’s daughters quickly became something bigger.

Across all levels of sport, breast injuries are common — yet rarely spoken about. Too many athletes play through pain without support or protection.

This isn’t rare — nearly 1 in 2 female athletes experience breast injuries during their sporting career.

Boob Protect exists to change that.

Breast protection should be as standard as a mouthguard.

This isn’t a new issue. More than 30 years of research shows breast injuries are common, underreported and often ignored in sport.

Breast injury isn’t limited to sport.

Women in frontline roles — including police, defence, healthcare, and emergency services — are also exposed to repeated impact, pressure and trauma to the chest.

Yet protection hasn’t been designed with them in mind.

Boob Protect is helping change that — bringing protection to women wherever impact exists.

Pain shouldn’t be part of playing sport.

Breast impact happens across all contact and ball sports — at every level.

Yet protection has been overlooked.

Boob Protect was created to change that — giving women and girls the protection they need to play confidently, without fear of injury.
